Lagoon Cruises
Transfer from the terminal to San Marco
to visit the historic center of Venice, with the option of lunch in the area.
The tour goes on to Murano in the afternoon, where you can watch glass being made in a Vetreria Artistica.
The next stop after Murano is the island of Burano, home of fishermen, famous for its traditional lace and sought out by painters for the vivid colors of its houses.
We continue to Torcello to visit the Cathedral and its magnificent mosaics, all that remain of the former splendor of the island.
This is the last stop before returning to the terminal.
Total time of the tour is 8 to 9 hours.
From the terminal, or from San Marco, we go directly to the island of Murano to visit an active glass-making factory. From there we proceed to the other three islan ds on our itinerary: Burano, the fishermen's island known everywhere for its lace and much appreciated by artists for the vivid colors of its houses; the old island of Torcello, where the Cathedral with its magnificent mosaics is all that remains of its former splendor; and the island of San Francesco del Deserto, the small island where Saint Francis, returning from the Holy Land, stopped in 1220 and where a monastery was founded in 1223.These three island are within ten minutes' travel from each other; therefore, the order in which to visit them is organized around lunch. Burano and Torcello both offer a selection of restaurants featurning menus based largely on fish and other seafood. It is also possible to have lunch, consisting of a cold buffet, on board while sailing. A box lunch is available for children. Return to the departure point after 8 or 9 hours.
